About me
Sydney Herbst is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a licensed and board certified acupuncturist, and has acquired a Bachelor of Sciences in Health and Wellness. She graduated from Pacific College of Health Sciences in San Diego which included 4,800 hours of clinical and didactic work in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Western Medicine. She is also passionate about holistic skincare and completed advanced training in cosmetic acupuncture and facial rejuvenation with Shellie Goldstein and Carrie Hart. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sydney loves to spend time hiking, swimming in the ocean, practicing yoga, connecting with friends over coffee, or trying out a new hobby. She has a strong interest in women’s health, cosmetic acupuncture, autoimmune disorders, and chronic pain.
Sydney’s passion for Chinese medicine began after experiencing her own array of health issues when returning home from studying abroad in Spain. She spent the following summer shadowing at a local integrative acupuncture practice and gaining more insight as to how deep this medicine goes. The most profound improvements are made when the body, mind, and spirit are in complete alignment. This made sense. Once completing her Undergraduate Degree, she spent the following year in Asia. Her final destination landed her in Rishikesh, India. The birthplace of yoga and epicenter for holistic healing. She finished her 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training and explored the roots of Ayurvedic Medicine. She returned home again, this time full circle, with the intention of beginning the Doctoral program in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
